Safe Kids Pee Dee/Coastal offers Safe Sitter course | Events

From Safe Kids Pee Dee/Coastal:

Safe Kids Pee Dee/Coastal, led by McLeod Health, will host a Safe Sitter class for girls and boys ages 11-13.

The class will be held on the following dates:

• Tuesday, June 5, 2012 (register by May 22)
• Friday, July 20, 2012 (register by June 26)
• Tuesday, August 7, 2012 (register by July 24)

The Safe Sitter class will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the McLeod Medical Plaza, 800 East Cheves Street, in Florence. The class will be held in the Classroom, Suite 105.

Safe Sitter is a medically based program taught by certified instructors that helps young adults learn how to effectively handle emergencies when caring for children. The class provides hands on practice in basic lifesaving techniques, helpful tips including safety precautions, knowledge understanding children of different ages, and babysitting. The Safe Sitter is $35. This price includes materials, a tee-shirt, certificate, and lunch. Please make checks payable to McLeod Health.
