Midway Fire Rescue honors firefighters | Community Spirit

PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) At an annual awards dinner at the Pawleys Plantation Clubhouse, Midway Fire Rescue honored their hard working first responders in 2011.

During the banquet, the following people received well-deserved awards:

• Tom Boyd Firefighter / Paramedic of the Year: Chris Stier
• Career Firefighter / EMT of the Year: Justin Wackerly
• Career Officer of the Year: James Elliott
• Meritorious Service Award: Mike Chapman
• Volunteer Firefighter of the Year: Rick Kefauver
• Volunteer EMS Division Member of the Year: Rick Myers
• Volunteer Special Services Member of the Year: Ed Mills
• Special Projects Award: Joseph Williamson, Ed Mills, and Brian Michna
• Community Service Award: Mike Morris and Austin Meares
• Excellence in Physical Fitness: Vince Caporuscio
• Excellence In Training Award: Bob Beebe, Mark Mercer, Niki Crippen, Adam Knowles, Mike Chapman, Will Tayloe
